Microtel Inn And Suites Auburn

When I first checked in it was very late and the night manager was very friendly and very quick. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and I loved the decor and the blankets on the bed were so much better then the nasty bed covers you see at other places. I plan to do the same covers at home. But then things went down hill. We were on a non smoking hall but the smell of smoke lingering in that hall was awful! And then our 2nd night we realized the walls were way too thin. At 3 in the morning we could hear a lot of the partying that was going on in the next room (and the management which was right down the hall was not doing anything about it) You can also hear every time someone shut the door to the rooms and in the middle of the night it definitely wakes you up. Other than the fact that the person at check in was rude, the room was smaller than most bathrooms, the continental breakfast was stale cheap packaged danish, the bed felt as though the springs were coming through. Bad is all I can say, it has a very bad layout, bad parking. It is very hard to get in and out of the parking lot, the service was bad, the Fifi wasn't working properly and the staff didn't know how to make it work. The continental breakfast was poor. All around a bad place to stay. ...read more

Room was small, no pool but hotel is pretty new and very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Definitely planning to stay there when I'm in town.

With the exception of the late call, the stay was fine. I would stay there again.
